The plan

What the week looks like

Ten days across two islands. Five nights in Fuerteventura, our Canary base, with the Sotavento lagoon and Corralejo; then four nights in El Médano, southern Tenerife, with the inter-island flight included. April is the month when the trade wind is already ordered and the beaches are not yet full. Works from first lessons to advanced coaching. Ten places, price quoted privately.

The two islands do different jobs, which is the reason for splitting the trip.

Sotavento, in Fuerteventura, is a lagoon that fills and empties with the tide, leaving waist-deep flat water over a kilometre wide. It is one of the best places on earth to have your first weeks on a kite, and it is why our Canary base is there.

El Médano is the opposite and the point of the second half: real wind, real chop, open water. Going from one to the other inside one trip is what turns a beginner into someone who rides.

Requirements: you can swim and you are 14 or older (under 18s with a responsible adult). No previous experience needed: the Sotavento lagoon is one of the best places on the planet for your first weeks.

Preguntas frecuentes

Common questions before booking

Is the inter-island flight included?

Yes. The flight between Fuerteventura and Tenerife is inside the price — it is the one trip on the calendar that includes a flight. International flights to the Canaries are not: the meeting point is Fuerteventura (FUE).

Why two islands instead of one?

Because they teach different things. Sotavento is a flat, shallow lagoon —perfect for learning and for drilling technique— and El Médano is open water with real conditions. Doing both in ten days is worth much more than ten days of either.

Can I try wingfoil too?

Yes. Full kitesurf gear is included and there is a wingfoil session for anyone who wants to try it.
