The plan

What the week looks like

Six days over New Year on Lake Llanquihue, based in Puerto Varas, built for people starting from zero. Ten hours of coached water time with a maximum of two students per instructor, split across three disciplines: wingfoil —including your first assisted flight behind the jetski— sailing on a 30-foot yacht, and wakeboard. Closed price, twelve places, and New Year's dinner facing the lake.

This is the one trip on the calendar with no kitesurfing in it, and that is deliberate. It is built for someone who has never done any of this and wants to spend a week finding out which of the three sticks.

The wingfoil part starts on the jetski: we tow you up onto the foil so you feel what planing on a foil actually is, before you ever have to generate that power with a wing in your hands. It shortens the learning curve by days. Gear is all school kit chosen for learning, not for racing: big front foil, short mast, high-volume boards.

Sailing is two outings on a 30-footer — safety on board, points of sail, tacking, anchoring and a man-overboard drill each — plus turns at the helm on the Vagabundo. And one wakeboard session behind the boat.

Requirements: you can swim, you are 14 or older (under 18s with a responsible adult) and you are in basic physical shape. No gear needed and no previous experience needed.

Preguntas frecuentes

Common questions before booking

Is there kitesurfing on this trip?

No. This one is wingfoil, sailing and wakeboard. If you want to learn to kite, Puclaro, Brazil, Tarifa and the Canaries all teach from scratch.

I have never done any of this. Is that a problem?

That is exactly who the trip is for. Everything starts from zero, gear included, with two students per instructor and a radio helmet so you can hear your coach while you are on the water.

Is the price final?

Yes. This is the one trip with a closed price rather than an estimated range: $890,000 CLP, with a $200,000 deposit to hold your place.
