The plan

What the week looks like

Our first European edition: eight days in Tarifa, on the Strait of Gibraltar, at the start of the season. Two winds take turns —Levante from the east and Poniente from the west— which means four beaches to choose between depending on the day, and we move to whichever one is working. From first lessons to advanced coaching, with gear and wetsuit included. Ten places. Price quoted privately over WhatsApp.

Tarifa is where half of Europe learned to kite, and March is the moment to be there: the wind is already working and the town has not yet filled up.

The two prevailing winds are the whole point. Levante is strong and gusty; Poniente is softer and cleaner. Rather than commit to one beach, we read the morning forecast and drive to whichever of Los Lances, Valdevaqueros or Bolonia suits the day and your level — which on a Levante day can be the difference between a good session and no session at all for a beginner.

March in the Strait means a full wetsuit, and it is included. So is the whole kit, so you do not check gear onto a plane.

Requirements: you can swim and you are 14 or older (under 18s with a responsible adult). No previous experience needed — but a cool head is: on a strong Levante day a beginner does not go in, and we will say so.

Preguntas frecuentes

Common questions before booking

Why is the price only given privately?

Because on this trip it genuinely depends on you: where you fly from, how many of you there are, whether you share a room and how much of the accommodation you take with us. Rather than publish a figure that then does not hold, we send you the full breakdown on WhatsApp the same day you ask. Asking costs nothing.

Which airport should I fly into?

Jerez (XRY) is the closest, then Málaga (AGP) and Seville (SVQ). The meeting point is Tarifa itself; we help coordinate the transfer and it can usually be shared across the group.

Can I learn from scratch in Tarifa?

Yes, with one honest caveat: Tarifa has days when the Levante blows too hard for a first lesson. On those days we go to a more sheltered beach or we do theory, rather than putting you in water that will teach you nothing but fear.
