The plan

What the week looks like

The Brazil Experience is an eight-day kitesurfing trip on the Ceará corridor, based in Guriú, with two parallel coaching lanes —beginner and advanced— so the group never has to move at one speed. You choose your spot each day —Guriú, Jericoacoara, Preá, Barrinha or Barra Grande— and we adjust it with you according to wind and tide. Six departures between August and December 2026, twelve people maximum per tranche.

You land at Jericoacoara airport (JJD) and we pick you up: the last stretch is 4x4 across sand and a raft crossing over the river, because Guriú has no paved road in. That is exactly why it still feels like a fishing village and not a resort.

Each morning we read the tide and pick the day's spot, then take a buggy or pickup out to it. Guriú has the rare combination of flat river water and open sea ten minutes apart, so beginners and advanced riders get what they each need without splitting the group. Several days of the week we run guided downwinders from one village to the next, with a vehicle following on land to pick everyone up.

Every evening we project the day's footage and go through it. You get a written level assessment on day two and an exit report on day seven.

Requirements: you can swim and you are 14 or older (under 18s with a responsible adult). For the advanced lane you should be riding upwind and getting yourself back to your starting point. For the beginner lane, nothing at all.

Preguntas frecuentes

Common questions before booking

Do I need to be able to kite already?

No. The trip runs a beginner lane and an advanced lane in parallel, every rideable day, so you can arrive having never flown a kite. If you already ride, tell us when you book and we will set your objectives before you arrive.

How reliable is the wind in Ceará?

It is the most reliable wind in South America. The trade wind blows almost every day from July to January, which is why the whole industry migrates there for that half of the year. That is also why our season runs August to December.

How do I get to Guriú?

Fly to Jericoacoara airport (JJD). We collect you there and handle the rest: the final stretch is 4x4 over sand and a raft across the river. Airport transfers both ways are included; international flights are not.

Is gear included?

Kites, board, harness and radio helmet are included in the coaching. We carry a fleet, and rental outside the lesson sessions is charged separately.
